“Dreamscape in Sapphire”

This charcoal, graphite and watercolor piece is mounted on masonite, then mounted on wood from an antique clock, and mounted again on this found gold board. Acrylic gold paint shimmers over the black suede insets, with brass circles. Each is annointed with a single, jewel-toned watercolor accent.

All my drawings/paintings are done freehand (aside from a center line, usually). The symmetry is perfectly imperfect.

Painting is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Entire piece measures 5 1/2″ x 18″. Ready to hang.
