What an exciting endeavor for you! The cards and accompanying book are beautiful! I’m looking forward to connecting with them and can’t wait for the tarot deck. I’m so proud of you!

Thank you so much! I hope you love them!

Hi Wendy, I relate to so much of what you said in this blog, in fact most of it. Especially the anxiety and fatigue from socializing. I’m always trying so hard to be likable I sometimes forget to be real. Depression has plagued me for most of my life. Lately it’s been interfering with my ability to doing things I love, like making art, writing and playing music and singing. I have a studio space with my drums set up which I never touch. It’s become more of a storage space that I avoid, lots of “things” I’ve saved for art projects or for someday! Menopause and physical changes! Ugh! There are many good things I’ve made happen in the last year. Most importantly I’ve been focusing on building friendships and not wasting time trying to date! 😄 It really helps me be much happier and boosts my self-esteem. I really loved singing back up with you guys at the Motordead show! I felt so good! I haven’t sung since 2014. I really needed that push and Beth has been such a great friend to me. thank you for including me! I’ve always wanted to get to know you better. I’ll admit that I’ve been a bit intimidated because I think you’re so cool! I’m so impressed by your art, guitar shredding and how productive you are! Cheers to our brilliant future! — Robin

Oh, Wendy. What a beautiful, personal sharing of your feelings and of Bill’s wonderful life. Yes, there must be a time when we are ready to let go and accept whatever may be next. Peace for the soul. Love to you and Tony.
My sister and I scattered our mother’s ashes into the ocean at Fernandina beach June 2017. A beautiful mystical place protected by the parks department. So nice that your dad got to live with a lady who loved him in that beautiful place.
I’m glad to know you’re okay. That you have a higher understanding, that you dreamt about your old pup right before your dad passed, cuz you know that he helped your dad find his way.
It’s all so big, so good, so natural, if we let it all be the way it’s supposed to. Thank you for allowing me to peer into your experience a little bit. Thank you for your loving and kind heart, and your mastery in your art!
Love to Tony and your other little babies, past, now, and soon to come.
You rock it, honey!🤩
WendyLeeGadzuk
There it is! That’s amazing that you have been there, too. xo

What a beautiful remembrance Wendy. You have so captured his soul and the soul of your relationship. He is such a personal loss to us and real loss to science and humanity. But you were right in the end he was ready to go. He called the night before he died or two nights to say goodbye. And I responded will talk to you later Bill, and he said “no this will be the last time we talk”. He was at peace I believe. But we are left with good memories of him. We so loved him.
WendyLeeGadzuk
Yes…he knew, in no uncertain terms. I’m so glad you guys got to talk to him.

Wendy, your work is absolutely beautiful, reminding me very much of an artist who was my predecessor as an artist in residence – Judy Chicago. As I read your post the word “vulvular” kept coming to mind and thankfully, sure enough you clarified the feminine nature of the work. Good job! You will do well with your decks. Keep at it.
WendyLeeGadzuk
Thank you Judy! And I will have to investigate this other Judy, as well! And you keep at it, too. xo

I love everything about this post Wendy, thank you for sharing! Your oracle is beautiful and your words inspire me to work with it more. Fun tiny peek, too, at your reading space – gorgeous! Looking very forward to future posts…and maybe (!?) a future tarot deck!
WendyLeeGadzuk
Thank you Diane! I appreciate your enthusiasm. And yes…a tarot deck will be coming in the future, for sure!!

Can I have apiecein the show?
WendyLeeGadzuk
Yes! But please do follow the above guidelines so I can keep track of who’s in!!
Thank you Wendy for hosting such an intense and thought provoking show. I had no idea that it was your first. You seemed very much like you had done many. It was a very well put together show.
I really enjoyed your worked and the opportunity to talk about the tough medical situations that we encounter in this life. It is very healing to have such deep conversations about this topic.
Your artwork really conjured up so much feelings and thought.
And thank you for sharing these experiences and people that you met in this post.
WendyLeeGadzuk
Thank you for sharing your story with me. I appreciate all the honesty that this show brought forth. I have done many shows before, but what I meant was this was the first where I really created a body of work specifically for this show (aside from group shows where I’ve created a single piece with a theme in mind.) I hope to do it again soon! xo

Thank you for sharing these stories. We can easily forget that we are have a story and some just carry them around till the perfect moment. Sound like you created an opening through your art for people to feel comfortable and relatable. That is so powerful!
WendyLeeGadzuk
Thank you for reading, and thank you for saying that. Yes, I’m sure you have quite a story, too!

Wendy, the piece is so beautiful. I can’t imagine what you’ve been through. What Tony has been through. I’m speechless. My love to you both.
